Lake Hickory
Lake Hickory was created in 1927 with the completion of Oxford Dam. The lake covers 4,200 acres and has over 100 miles of shoreline and it is a very popular spot for recreation.

Catawba County has several bike trails, and several biking stores and repair shops. In fact, you can leave work, most anywhere in town, and be at a bike trail in less than 15 minutes.
Where is Here?
The Catawba Valley is located in Western North Carolina, just as the mountains begin to rise. Our region is still part of the piedmont, but we are the gateway to the mountains.
